This works great if your buying a new home so you can see the condition of the sewer pipe before you buy a new home. Some times even on new construction there can be a back-pitch to the pipe that can eventual cause a clog down the road.

It is always a good idea to inspect older plumbing as the pipes over time can develop offset joints, back-pitches & breaks in the pipes. It is always good to see the condition of the pipes going out of the house regardless if its new construction or old plumbing so there are no surprises down the road.
